New products based on sardines are offered on the market, combining the taste of this fish with natural plant flavors or specific preparations. You can taste canned sardines with lemon, rosemary, dried tomatoes or taste meatballs prepared with sardines.
The export of canned sardines has developed to reach, in a short time, very encouraging figures.
The markets for which is intended the Tunisian sardine are multiple: Europe to Asia including Japan, through several African countries. Appreciated for its taste, but also thanks to the expertise of professionals, the Tunisian sardine is making its way and impose itself on several markets.
It should be noted that the quantities of processed sardines have been estimated at 6200 tons and the export rate has evolved to about 1650 tons compared to the quantities produced from 28% in 2019 to 36% in 2020.
