Created in 1965, Tunisian canned food industries group (French acronym GICA) is a public institution federating professionals in fruit, vegetable and fish processing sectors under the authority of theMinistry of Industry andSMEs.
GICA is administered by a board of directors, which is chaired by M. Samir Majoul (UTICA).
The GICA’s Board of directors is composed of the following twelve members:
- A representative of the ministry of Industry
- A representative of the ministry of Finance
- A representative of the ministry of Trade
- A representative of the ministry of Agriculture
- Four representatives of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA)
- Four representatives of the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP)
