GICA has four departments :
- Administrative and Financial Department
- Value chain development and monitoring department
- Business Development and Marketing Department
- Quality Promotion and Food and Environmental Security Department
GICA ensures the following missions :
- To contribute to link the various phases by which transit the products, and to encourage theadoption of contracts between the growers and the processors
- To facilitate consultation between professionals (industrialists and farmers) and the administration in order to set the objectives of the different sectors and their implementation.
- To contribute to market balance in collaboration with the professional and administrative relevant organizations.
- To take part in the national export promotion initiative in collaboration and coordination with the professional and administrative relevant organizations.
- To support members through training, retraining and coaching.
- To enhance the value of canned food through the management and development of quality labels.
- To improve the quality and competitiveness of food products through health surveillance and control of production and packaging requirements in factories as well as through the application of the quality management system according to the international standard in force.
