The Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy announces that industrial wastewater treatment plants are now eligible for incentives provided by the Competitiveness Development Fund (FODEC) as part of the Industrial National Upgrading Program.
This measure follows the approval of this pathway by the Advisory Committee of the Program (No. 297). Its goal is to reduce the discharge of untreated industrial pollutants into the sea and public sanitation networks by encouraging business owners to invest in the infrastructure necessary to protect water resources and the coastline.
The Industrial Upgrading Program, through the Competitiveness Development Fund, grants financial incentives and subsidies to industrial firms and related service providers. These incentives range from 10% to 20% for physical investments and reach 70% for intangible investments within the upgrading program.
