Thursday, November 11th, a working meeting was organized in the GICA and which brought together the General Manager of the Canned Food Industries Group, Mr Jamel Jary, with the representative of the National Agency for the Protection of the Environment (ANPE ), Mr. Wassim Shiha, and the representative of EXPRTISE France consultancy office, Mr. Samir Meddeb to study the opportunities to benefit from the environmental credit line included in the Tunisian cooperation program -french SUNREF, which aims to help Tunisian private actors to invest in energy management and environmental protection and encourages local financial institutions to finance them.
This line includes several benefits, including an investment subvention of 15% of the loan amount and free technical support under the supervision of the EXPRTISE France consultancy.
It was agreed to prepare further working meetings with representatives of industrial companies active in the food canning sector to further develop the programme and to find environmental solution projects that meet the conditions for benefiting from the funding line and the accompanying subventions.
